Actress and TV personality Ji Ye Eun is currently starring alongside BTS’ Jin in Netflix’s new reality-variety hit Kian’s Bizarre B&B, and she recently got candid about what it’s really like working with a global superstar.
During a press interview held on April 15, 2025, at a hotel in Jongno-gu, Ji Ye Eun shared that she was initially hesitant to get close to Jin, fearing backlash from BTS’ loyal fanbase, ARMY. “I was honestly really nervous at first,” she admitted. “I kept my distance because I thought fans might react badly if I got too friendly. But Jin made that impossible — he was so kind and open from the beginning. Before I knew it, we were close. Now, when I think of BTS, I just think of Jin oppa.
Jin himself chimed in with his usual charm and self-awareness, saying, “People often act awkward around me because of the ‘BTS’ title. That’s why I always try to be extra friendly — sometimes maybe a little too much!”
Their fellow co-star Kian84 echoed those sentiments and praised Jin’s leadership on set. “Honestly, to me, BTS means Jin too,” he said with a grin. “He was our anchor. After just two days of filming, I was worn out. By day three, Ji Ye Eun was in tears. But Jin? He kept us going.”
True to his humble and humorous nature, Jin laughed off the praise. “It was total chaos — which is exactly what Kian’s Bizarre BnB is supposed to be! If things went smoothly, it wouldn’t be fun. I’ve lived a hectic life, so seeing them struggling a bit, I was like, ‘Is it really that bad?’” he joked.
Despite the fun and wild energy on-screen, one thing is clear: BTS ARMY continues to be fiercely protective of the group’s members. But thanks to Jin’s down-to-earth personality and positive energy, even someone new to the BTS orbit like Ji Ye Eun felt welcomed and at ease.
Directed by Jung Hyo Min, known for Hyori’s Homestay, Kian’s Bizarre BnB gives a quirky, unpredictable twist to the guesthouse reality show format. With Jin, Ji Ye Eun, and Kian84 bringing their unique chemistry to the screen, the show has quickly climbed to the top of Netflix Korea’s trending list. New episodes drop every Tuesday at 4 PM KST — and yes, it’s every bit as chaotic (and entertaining) as promised.
