Jungkook Donates 1 Billion Won for Forest Fire Relief

Jungkook of BTS has made a generous donation of 1 billion won to aid those affected by recent forest fires in Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam. The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association announced on March 28th that the donation would be used to assist the victims and support firefighters involved in disaster management.

Half of Jungkook’s donation, amounting to 500 million won, will be allocated for emergency relief and supplies to help those who have lost their homes in the forest fires. The other half will go towards initiatives aimed at improving the welfare and health of firefighters working tirelessly at disaster sites, including forest fires and other fire-related emergencies.

Jungkook expressed his hope that his contribution would provide some comfort to those facing hardships. He added, “I hope this will offer a small bit of help to those struggling, and that both the victims and the firefighters working to put out the flames can quickly return to peaceful lives.”

Hope Bridge’s Secretary-General, Shin Hoon, thanked Jungkook for his thoughtful gesture, saying, “We are grateful for Jungkook’s compassion and for sharing with his community. Hope Bridge will do everything in its power to support the affected residents, and his kindness will undoubtedly bring them comfort.”

This is not Jungkook’s first charitable act; in 2023, he donated 1 billion won to Seoul National University Children’s Hospital to assist with treatment and care for children from low-income families.
