ENHYPEN leader Jungwon has officially joined the Recording Academy’s Class of 2025, becoming the youngest K-pop male idol to earn a seat among global music decision-makers.
The 21-year-old idol, who has been leading ENHYPEN since his debut at age 16, is now part of a prestigious group of nearly 3,600 new Recording Academy members. This class includes professionals from over 50 countries, and represents a diverse, forward-looking vision of the global music industry. Jungwon, alongside other HYBE artists, now holds Grammy voting rights—a major milestone in both his personal journey and the broader K-pop movement.
According to the Academy’s official announcement, 56% of the new class are people of color, 49% are women, and 60% are under 40—further underscoring their push toward inclusivity and industry evolution.
Jungwon joins a powerful lineup of HYBE artists invited this year, including SEVENTEEN’s Woozi and Vernon, TXT’s Yeonjun, LE SSERAFIM’s Yunjin, and Zico. This marks an unprecedented moment for the Korean music scene, as more idols are recognized not only as performers but also as industry contributors with creative influence.
With Grammy nomination voting rights now in hand, Jungwon is no longer just a leader of ENHYPEN—he’s also a global voice in music’s most prestigious institution.
