A young man who had been missing for five days in Kailali has been found dead.
Ajay Swarnakar, a 29-year-old resident of Chauha in Lamkichuha Municipality-10, had been missing since March 11 (28th Falgun) and was discovered dead on Sunday, according to police reports.
District Police Office spokesperson, DSP Kabindra Singh Bohara, confirmed that Swarnakar’s body was found in front of the sugar mill in Chuha. He had gone missing the same day he left home.
His family had only filed a missing person report at the Lamki Area Police Office on Saturday, and soon after, his lifeless body was discovered. The police stated that his body was handed over to the family following an autopsy.
This incident raises serious concerns about safety and law enforcement effectiveness. A man disappears, and his family files a report days later—why was there no urgency in searching for him earlier? The circumstances surrounding his death demand a thorough investigation.
