A person has been arrested on charges of cheating 4.5 million rupees.
The arrested individual is 47-year-old Ramji Giri, originally from Pokhara Metropolitan-24 in Kaski, who had been living in Kalanki, Kathmandu. He was arrested by a team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office.
According to SP and spokesperson Kajikumar Acharya, Giri is accused of cheating 4.5 million rupees in three different incidents.
He is alleged to have cheated 332,000 rupees by claiming to be the HR manager of a Dubai-based Transport Holding Group of Companies and promising to send the victim to Dubai.
Additionally, there is a pending case regarding a 3 million rupee dishonored cheque in Surkhet District Court. Giri has also been accused by 18 individuals in Chitwan District Police Office of cheating 1.215 million rupees.
