Singer-songwriter Katy Perry is making adjustments to her upcoming Lifetimes Tour, keeping motherhood at the forefront. As she continues to navigate life with her 4-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, Perry revealed that her daughter has a significant influence on her tour plans.
Earlier Show Times for a Better Family Balance
In an interview with Access Hollywood, Perry shared that she would be moving her showtimes earlier, noting, “Now that I understand all the dynamics of bringing your kids out to the show, I think I’m going to implement an earlier show.” The 40-year-old singer explained that many shows were initially scheduled for late evening, typically around 9:00 or 9:15 p.m., but now, with her daughter’s routine in mind, shows will start at 8:30 p.m.
Perry explained, “Sometimes those shows are on weekdays, and they go to school the next day, so I want to keep things manageable for Daisy and the other kids in the crowd.” She acknowledged the challenges of bedtime routines, emphasizing the importance of ensuring her daughter gets enough rest.
Will Daisy Join Her on Stage?
Although Perry mentioned that she doesn’t foresee Daisy making an appearance on stage, she highlighted her daughter’s vibrant personality. “She’s not shy, she loves to sing,” Perry said, noting that Daisy even enjoys playing the ukulele. The singer added that Daisy enjoys seeing her parents do what they love, especially when it comes to performing music.
