Kichcha Sudeep has finally reignited excitement among fans with a major update on his much-anticipated film Billa Ranga Baashaa, after months of delay. Taking to his official X (formerly Twitter) handle on April 16, the Kannada superstar announced that the film has officially gone on floors today.
Sharing a striking new poster, Sudeep revealed the film’s full title — BRB: The First Blood — and teased its futuristic setting in the year 2209 AD. “2209 AD – #BRBFirstBlood. The journey begins today. To us, this mammoth dream and vision of our team, going on floor is an unparalleled excitement,” the actor wrote in his post.
This fresh update comes after Sudeep had previously stated that shooting was expected to commence in the second week of March 2025. While the schedule was slightly pushed back, the latest confirmation has brought back the buzz among fans eagerly awaiting the high-octane adventure.
Billa Ranga Baashaa marks the actor’s second collaboration with director Anup Bhandari, after the success of their previous blockbuster Vikrant Rona. The upcoming film is set to be a visually rich, two-part saga featuring extensive use of VFX and specially constructed 3D sets to bring the futuristic world of 2209 to life.
According to a report by The New Indian Express, production will be carried out in phases, with 20–25 day-long shoots in each custom-built 3D set, followed by the creation of entirely new sets for subsequent schedules.
Meanwhile, Sudeep’s last release, Max, turned out to be a box office juggernaut, managing impressive earnings despite facing stiff competition from multiple releases in the same week.
With filming now underway, the hype around BRB: The First Blood is stronger than ever, and fans are keeping their fingers crossed for more exciting updates soon.
