Two officials from the Nepali Embassy in Delhi have been deployed to assist Nepali students facing difficulties in Odisha. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli shared this information via social media.
Tension has arisen at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) College in Odisha after Nepali student Prakriti Lamsal was found dead.
The college had expelled Nepali students from the hostel. Following the intervention of the Nepali Embassy, an agreement has been reached to facilitate their return.
Prime Minister Oli stated that the students would be given the option to either return home or stay at the hostel.
“Arrangements have been made for the students to choose between staying in the hostel or returning home based on their own priorities,” Oli wrote.
