Nepal national football team captain Kiran Kumar Limbu has expressed excitement for himself and his team in training under new coach Matt Ross. The newly appointed head coach of the Nepalese team, Matt Ross, started preparations for the Asian Cup qualifiers on Wednesday at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwar.

Captain and goalkeeper Kiran Kumar Limbu stated that the players are entering a busy period throughout the year and are excited to train under the new coach. He also mentioned that during conversations with Coach Matt, the coach was thrilled to see Nepalโ€™s passion for football. Captain Kiran added that the coach aims to win the SAFF Championship and achieve good results in the Asian Cup qualifiers.

He further mentioned that although the preparation time is short and some new players have joined the team, they are hopeful for a positive outcome. Kiran emphasized that they will work hard to support Coach Mattโ€™s goal of securing titles and stressed the need for match exposure against strong teams.

Nepalese team defender Ananta Tamang stated that every coach has a different philosophy and tactics, and he is excited to play under the new coach. He acknowledged that it would take some time to adapt to the new coachโ€™s strategies and added that having a coach for a longer period would be beneficial for the team. He expressed his happiness about playing on home ground but mentioned that, due to circumstances, they had to play abroad. However, he remains hopeful that the upcoming matches will be played on home soil.
