KP Oli Cup: The second edition of the KP Oli Cup T20 Cricket Tournament is set to commence on April 5, 2025, at the Pokhara Cricket Ground. Organized by the Madan Bhandari Sports Academy, the tournament will run until April 17, featuring 16 teams battling for the prestigious title.

KP Oli Cup: Tournament Format

The 16 participating teams have been divided into four groups. Each team will play one match against every other team in their group. The top team from each group will advance to the semifinals, leading up to an exciting final match.

Group A: CEC Kathmandu, Hetauda SA, Pokhara Metropolitan CC, Syangja CC
Group B: Chitwan CC, Great Himalayan CA, Gandaki Heroes CC, Himalayan CA
Group C: Lumbini Khukuri CC, Madhesh Province CC, Himal Friends, Karnali Academy
Group D: Sundarharaincha ICC, Attariya CA, Maipokhari CC, Horizon CC

Prize Pool and Awards

The tournament features an attractive prize pool for the top-performing teams and players.

  • Winner: NPR 1 million (Rs. 10 lakh), a trophy, medals, and certificates
  • Runner-up: NPR 500,000 (Rs. 5 lakh), along with a trophy and certificates
  • Man of the Series: NPR 30,000
  • Best Bowler & Best Batter: NPR 10,000 each
  • Man of the Match (per game): NPR 5,000 and a trophy

Previous Edition Highlights

Last year, 12 teams, including provincial and departmental teams, participated in the tournament. Madhesh Province emerged victorious by defeating Tribhuvan Army Club in the final. The winners received NPR 500,000, while the runners-up were awarded NPR 250,000. This year, the prize money has been significantly increased, making the competition even more intense and rewarding.
