“Laj Sharanam Teaser Drops: A Story of Sacrifice and Surprise” has made a 15-minute cut in its film. Producer and actor Arjun Ghimire Padey mentioned that unnecessary scenes were trimmed based on the advice of critics and audiences.
It has been announced that the audience will be able to watch the newly edited version starting Thursday. The scenes that were cut include Sitaram Kattel Dhurmus drinking alcohol and watching fashion TV, some warehouse scenes, the police drinking water and looking into the fridge, and scenes where Bhola Raj Sapkota is seen inspecting architecture.
“We cut scenes based on the audience’s suggestions. After rewatching the film in the hall, we concluded to make the cuts. The edited version will not be available to watch starting Thursday.
The lengthy scenes of the film had drawn comments on social media. Some critics mentioned that the unnecessary scenes caused discomfort for the audience. The scenes were cut following the received feedback.
Directed by Kumar Kattel, the film was released on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri on Wednesday. It has also been screened in Qatar in the Middle East from Thursday, according to Seven Seas International.
