A landslide in Dablyang, Baglung Municipality-10, blocked the Kaligandaki Corridor last night following continuous heavy rainfall. The Maldhunga-Kushmisera road is also closed due to the landslide.
All vehicles traveling through the Kaligandaki corridor and those heading to South Baglung have come to a halt. Many passengers traveling long distances from Palpa and Butwal to Baglung are stranded along the route. Local transport carrying daily milk and vegetables to the district headquarters is also stuck, according to Assistant Inspector Gangaram Bik of Maldhunga Police Post.
Efforts to clear the landslide debris are currently underway to reopen the road.
