Landslide Hits Kaski's Kilang and Taprang, 6 Houses Damaged

Heavy rainfall triggered a landslide in Madi Rural Municipality of Kaski, causing damage to six houses in Kilang and Taprang villages.

In Ward-1, Khilang, a landslide from above damaged two houses and buried two buffaloes, according to Ward Chairperson Devijung Gurung. Meanwhile, Ward-6 Chairperson Dil Bahadur Kshetri reported that three houses in Bhedikhark and four more in Sayapatri Tole were affected.

Among the damaged properties, Veer Bahadur Rana’s two houses and homes belonging to Sant Bahadur Rana and Surya Bahadur Magar sustained major structural damage. Although no injuries or deaths have been reported, all affected homes have been declared unsafe for living. Some foundations have collapsed, and others are partly buried.

Authorities have begun clearing the debris since early morning and are monitoring the situation for further risks.
