The news was confirmed through a statement on her official Instagram account, as reported by Deadline. She died at her home in Veracruz, Mexico, though the cause of death has not been revealed.

Born Francisca Viveros Barradas, Paquita became famous for her fiery and unapologetic music, especially her hit song “Rata de Dos Patas”, where she fiercely calls out a cheating ex. Over the years, her songs became anthems of empowerment for many women.
