A lightning strike tragically killed a young man in Kailali today. Police confirmed that Upendra Bahadur Shahi, a 26-year-old resident of Jhili, Gauriganga Municipality-2, died after being hit by lightning around noon.
District Police Office spokesperson DSP Rajkumar Singh stated that Shahi was walking through a field when the lightning struck.
He passed away at the scene. His body has since been transported to Seti Provincial Hospital for post-mortem examination.
