Loyalty Academy is set to organize the 13th Loyalty Cup Inter-School Boys’ Football Tournament starting this Friday.
Loyalty Academy’s Principal, Birendra Kurumbang, announced in a press conference on Thursday that a total of 14 teams, including three teams from the host Loyalty Academy, will compete in the tournament. The teams will be divided into four groups, and matches will be played in a league-cum-knockout format.
- Group A: Trijyoti, Chelsea World, Himalayan, and Loyalty ‘A’
- Group B: Holy Garden, Little Angels, Fairyland, and Loyalty ‘C’
- Group C: Peace Point, East Pole, and Gateway Academy
- Group D: Loyalty ‘B’, Reliance, and Jagat Mandir
The tournament is open to U-12 players studying up to Grade 7, with a maximum height limit of 4 feet 11 inches. The matches will follow a seven-a-side format.
According to Loyalty Academy’s ECA In-charge, Gyalzen Sherpa, the estimated cost of organizing the tournament is around NPR 300,000.
