A New EV for Nepal China’s well-known auto parts company, Shanghai Launch, has introduced its latest electric car in Nepal. Its subsidiary, LS Auto, launched the ‘LEV 01’ electric SUV in a special event held in Kathmandu. Nexon Venture, the official distributor for Nepal, made the announcement.
Variants and Powerful Features The ‘LEV 01’ comes in two versions: Standard and Comfort. It is equipped with a 67.12 kWh battery pack and a 99 kW front-wheel-drive motor. The company claims it can generate 300 Nm torque, ensuring a smooth and powerful ride.
Designed for Safety and Performance This EV has a ground clearance of 210 mm, making it suitable for Nepal’s roads. Built on the LEV X pure electric platform, its battery pack is positioned higher than the side body, with a 221 mm distance from the ground. The battery uses lithium-ion phosphate technology with advanced honeycomb architecture for extra safety and efficiency.
Aerodynamic and Stylish Exterior Designed by China’s top automotive design house, the ‘LEV 01’ is built with an aerodynamic structure. Its drag coefficient is just 0.268, making it one of the most efficient electric SUVs. The vehicle can cover up to 500 km on a full charge.
Premium Look with Smart Lighting The LEV 01 features a horizontal DRL, vertical headlight setup, and a floating-style taillight at the rear. This gives the car a modern and futuristic appearance.

Expanding Charging Stations and Showrooms LS Auto manufactures vehicles for both right-hand and left-hand drive markets. The company is also working on expanding charging stations across Nepal. They have already opened a showroom in Baluwatar, near the Chinese Embassy, and another one is set to open in Balkumari, Lalitpur, within a week.
