A 36-year-old man named Udaya Chand has been arrested in Surkhet on charges of raping a teenage girl. According to the District Police Office Surkhet, Chand, originally from Bheri Municipality-5, Jajarkot and currently residing in Birendranagar Municipality-3, was taken into custody on Monday following a complaint that he had sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl. DSP Mohan Jung Budhathoki, the spokesperson of the Surkhet police, confirmed the arrest and stated that further investigation into the incident is underway.
