A man’s dead body was found in a stream inside the forest at Jhadewa, Mathagadhi Rural Municipality-4, Palpa.
The man has been identified as a 49-year-old Reshamraj Sarki of the same area. He had left home five days ago to visit a relative but never returned. Although his relatives said he had already left for home, he did not reach there. After a search, his body was found in the forest stream.
According to Sunil Mall, Information Officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police at the Palpa District Police Office, the body was discovered during the search operation.
Police from the Mathagadhi Police Post and the District Police Office started an initial investigation after learning about the incident. Sarki’s body has been taken to Palpa Hospital for a post-mortem.
The District Police Office said that further investigation is ongoing.
