Marco Reus celebrates after scoring for LA Galaxy in El Tráfico

Marco Reus scored both goals for LA Galaxy in a 2-2 draw against city rivals Los Angeles FC on Sunday night during the 20th edition of El Tráfico. The 35-year-old German forward played a key role in keeping the Galaxy in the game, even as the club continues to struggle this season.

Early goal and late magic from Marco Reus

Marco Reus got things started in the sixth minute. After Gabriel Pec’s shot was blocked by LAFC goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, Reus calmly tapped in the rebound into an open net. He struck again late in the match, curling a free kick from just outside the penalty area inside the right post in the 87th minute to level the score.

These goals marked a standout performance by Marco Reus, who continues to impress in Major League Soccer.

Bouanga and Ordaz score for LAFC

Denis Bouanga responded for LAFC in the 13th minute with a brilliant long-range shot that bent inside the far post. Bouanga has now scored in three consecutive games and has seven goals in his last seven matches.

LAFC took the lead early in the second half when Nathan Ordaz fired in his third goal of the season. Ryan Hollingshead set it up with a clever pass that split defenders and found Ordaz perfectly positioned.

LA Galaxy remain winless, LAFC stretch unbeaten run

Despite Marco Reus’s double, LA Galaxy remain without a win this season. The team now holds a record of 0-10-4 and sits at the bottom with the worst goal differential in the league (-21).

Meanwhile, LAFC are now unbeaten in their last seven games, including a recent 4-0 victory over Seattle, and continue to push up the table with solid form.
