Mark of NCT Tops Charts with Solo Debut Album 'The Firstfruit'

Mark of NCT is making a powerful impact with his solo debut, proving his star power across both physical and digital platforms. Since its release on April 7, his first solo album The Firstfruit has been riding high on the charts, with the title track “1999” (pronounced ilgu-gyu-gyu) leading the way.

The album has claimed the No.1 spot on the album chart, retail album chart, and download chart, solidifying Mark’s dominance in the industry as a solo artist. His streak continued on April 16 when “1999” earned him his first music show win on MBC M’s Show! Champion, reflecting the strong support he’s receiving from fans.

The Firstfruit has already surpassed 540,000 copies in first-week sales, earning the title of “half-million seller.” In addition to topping domestic weekly charts, the album has also seen impressive international success — reaching No.1 on the digital album sales chart on China’s QQ Music, No.1 on AWA Japan’s rising chart, and making appearances on Spotify’s Top Album Debut Global, as well as the UK Official Chart’s download and single sales categories.

Mark will continue to promote “1999” with performances on major Korean music programs, including Mnet’s M Countdown (April 17), KBS 2TV’s Music Bank (April 18), MBC’s Show! Music Core (April 19), and SBS’s Inkigayo (April 20).

The Firstfruit features 13 tracks in total, led by the autobiographical “1999,” which gives listeners a heartfelt glimpse into Mark’s personal journey through sincere storytelling and lyrical depth.
