Medha Shankr, who captured the audience’s attention with her role in 12th Fail alongside Vikrant Massey, is all set for a new chapter in her career. She’s been working on an untitled project with actor Sunny Kaushal and has recently wrapped up her shoot for the upcoming film. The quirky comedy, produced by Laxman Utekar, marks a fresh pairing between the two actors and promises an exciting new dynamic.

Filming took place in Bikaner over the span of nearly two months, and Medha completed her part just this week. This project is a significant step in her career, as it features an urban character quite different from the roles she’s done before.

The film, which remains untitled for now, is expected to be a unique detective comedy with a quirky vibe. Sunny Kaushal, who stars alongside Medha, gained attention recently as several fun behind-the-scenes videos from the set went viral. In these, Sunny is seen celebrating with the cast and crew, cutting a cake, and even dancing to the track ‘Tauba Tauba’ with Kunal Roy Kapur and Ashish Verma.

Medha, originally from Noida, Uttar Pradesh, began her acting journey in 2019 with the British series Beecham House, where she portrayed Roshanara. Her film debut came in 2021 with the Hindi film Shaadisthan, and she later appeared as the youngest sibling, Eshwari, in the streaming series Dil Bekaraar. In 2022, she impressed audiences with her role as Minara in Max, Min, and Meowzaki, a film about a girl leaving her boyfriend for an older man.

Sunny Kaushal, who was last seen in the murder mystery Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, continues to build a diverse portfolio. His portrayal of Abhimanyu Dinesh Pandit in the film earned critical acclaim for his ability to portray a complex, grey character. Sunny, the younger brother of Bollywood star Vicky Kaushal, also has a history behind the camera, having worked as an assistant director on films like My Friend Pinto and Gunday.

He made his acting debut with the comedy-drama Sunshine Music Tours and Travels and gained widespread recognition for his supporting role in the sports biopic Gold, where he played Himmat Singh, a character from the 1948 Summer Olympics-winning Indian hockey team. Sunny has since starred in a variety of projects, including the streaming series The Forgotten Army – Azaadi Ke Liye, Shiddat, Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga, and Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba.

With this new project, Medha and Sunny are set to bring a fresh and exciting dynamic to the screen, leaving fans eager to see more.
