Mumbai Indians (MI) have signed Raghu Sharma, a talented leg-spinner, as a replacement for Vignesh Puthur, who has been ruled out for the rest of the TATA IPL 2025 due to injury.

Sharma, born on March 11, 1993, in Jalandhar, Punjab, is a right-arm leg-break bowler who has showcased impressive performances in domestic cricket. He has represented both Punjab and Puducherry in various formats of the game.

In 11 first-class matches, Sharma has taken 57 wickets at a remarkable average of 19.59, with his best bowling figures standing at 7/56. He has also claimed 14 wickets in 9 List A matches, with a best of 4/37, and has taken 3 wickets in 3 T20 matches.
Sharma’s First IPL Opportunity
This will be Raghu Sharma’s debut in the IPL, where he joins Mumbai Indians at his base price of INR 30 lakhs from the RAPP list. MI will be hoping the promising leg-spinner can contribute significantly to their bowling lineup for the rest of the tournament.
