Pop icon Miley Cyrus has once again found herself in the spotlight — but this time, not for her chart-topping music. The “Flowers” singer, who recently released her ninth studio album Something Beautiful, is facing backlash for allegedly snubbing fans at a recent vinyl signing event.
The event, which was meant to celebrate the release of her track Every Girl You’ve Ever Loved, saw Cyrus joined by supermodel Naomi Campbell. While the duo chatted and signed vinyl records, many fans felt overlooked and disrespected as the singer appeared more engaged in conversation with Campbell than interacting with her supporters.
Social media erupted with criticism. One user accused Miley of having “Main Character Syndrome,” while another said, “That’s not a good look… your fans are the reason you’re here.” Others called her behavior “rude” and “inconsiderate,” with one comment branding it “a perfect example of classism.”
Despite the online outrage, Miley expressed gratitude on Instagram, posting joyful moments with Campbell from the signing. “@naomi thank you for celebrating the Every Girl You’ve Ever Loved vinyl release day with me. Laughing with you is my favourite,” she wrote, adding thanks to fans who attended. “If you missed it, get your life & our vinyl that’s available now.”
Something Beautiful, released on May 30, 2025, is Miley’s ninth album and is co-produced by Grammy-winning producer Shawn Everett. It’s currently streaming on all major platforms.
