A mini truck accident in Chhatreshwari Rural Municipality-1, Pharulebot, along the Damachaur-Gurase-Jhyam road section has resulted in the death of the driver.
The mini truck, bearing registration number Ra. 1 Ka 530, was traveling from Jhyam, Rolpa, towards Damachaur when it veered off the road and plunged approximately 50 meters down late last night. According to the District Police Office, Salyan, the driver, 34-year-old Hari Chand from Jharnmangra, Gangadevi Rural Municipality-3, Rolpa, died on the spot.
While the exact cause of the accident remains unclear, preliminary investigations suggest that high speed and road conditions may have contributed to the crash, police stated.
The driver’s body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
