After four long years, MONSTA X has officially reunited as a full group with the release of their digital album NOW PROJECT vol.1, marking a powerful comeback and celebrating their 10th anniversary with fans around the world.
Released at noon KST on May 14, the album is especially meaningful as it comes just one day after member Hyungwon completed his mandatory military service. The timing adds an emotional layer to the comeback, as youngest member I.M is also expected to enlist later this year—making this moment of reunion fleeting but deeply cherished by MONBEBEs.
A Look at the Album
NOW PROJECT vol.1 features 10 re-recorded tracks originally released between 2021 and 2023. Each track has been newly arranged to include vocals from Shownu, the group’s leader, who had been absent from these original releases due to his own military service.
The reimagined tracklist includes fan-favorite songs such as:
- “Rush Hour”
- “LOVE”
- “Beautiful Liar”
- “Autobahn”
- “Mercy”
- “Love You”
- “Lone Ranger”
- “Ride with U”
- “Deny”
- “It’s Okay”
The members of MONSTA X actively participated in the writing, composing, and arranging process, once again proving their status as a self-producing group. The album reflects their artistic evolution and emotional growth through the years of service, distance, and anticipation.
10th Anniversary Celebration
To commemorate this landmark moment, MONSTA X will host a special live broadcast on their official YouTube channel at 7 PM KST tonight. Titled MONSTA X 10TH 514 DAY, the live stream will feature all six members—Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney, and I.M—together on screen for the first time in years. The group will look back on their journey, share behind-the-scenes stories, and thank fans for their continued love and support.
Bittersweet Timing
While fans are thrilled to see the full lineup return, emotions are mixed as they brace for I.M’s upcoming enlistment later this year. The timing makes this project both a celebration and a farewell of sorts—reminding fans of the fleeting but powerful moments that define K-pop careers.
Still, NOW PROJECT vol.1 stands as a meaningful tribute to MONSTA X’s enduring bond and their decade-long impact on the music industry. The album is now available on all major streaming platforms.
For fans eager to celebrate live, tune into their YouTube channel for tonight’s anniversary broadcast and be part of this historic moment.
