A tragic motorbike accident in Belaka Municipality-8, Boktang, Udayapur has left one man dead and another woman injured.
32-year-old Anal Rajbanshi from Budhiganga Rural Municipality, Morang, died in a motorbike crash late Tuesday night. He was returning home from Boktang when the accident occurred.
How did the accident happen?
According to the District Police Office, Udayapur, the motorbike (Ko 38 Pa 987) lost control on a rough road while heading towards Sombare. Anal, who was driving, suffered severe injuries.
He was immediately rushed to Birat Teaching Hospital, but doctors declared him dead on arrival, said SP Hariharnath Yogi.
Passenger jumped off and survived
Tulsa Karki, 18, from Shadananda Municipality-7, Bhojpur, was riding pillion. She jumped off the motorbike to save herself and only sustained minor injuries. She was treated at Belaka Municipal Hospital and later discharged.
