Motorola has launched its first phone in the Edge 60 series, the Edge 60 Fusion. This midrange phone comes with a unique design twist—a faux-canvas finish on the back. Priced at just £299.99 (around $390) in the UK, it offers stylish looks at an affordable price.
A Unique Canvas Texture
The most eye-catching feature of the Edge 60 Fusion is its canvas-like texture. However, this finish is only available on the “Amazonite” (teal) color. The phone also comes in blue and pink, but these versions use a faux-leather finish instead. All models have strong durability ratings, including IP68 and IP69, making them resistant to dust, water, and high-pressure sprays.

Slim Design with a Large Battery
The Edge 60 Fusion is impressively slim at less than 8mm thick, even though it houses a large 5,200mAh battery behind a 6.67-inch OLED display. Some international versions include an even bigger 5,500mAh battery, but those models are slightly thicker.
Performance and Storage Options
Motorola offers up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage in this device. However, the phone runs on a MediaTek Dimensity chipset, either a 7300 or 7400, depending on the region. These chipsets are midrange, which may limit performance compared to flagship models.
Camera Setup: Looks Can Be Deceiving
At first glance, the Edge 60 Fusion appears to have four cameras on the back. However, two of these are a flash and a flicker sensor. The phone actually features a 50MP main camera and a 13MP ultrawide lens, making it a decent but not high-end camera setup.
More Edge 60 Models Coming Soon
The Fusion is expected to be the first of multiple Edge 60 models. Last year, Motorola released five different models in the Edge 50 series. However, just like last year, these new phones may not launch in the US. American customers looking for a budget Motorola phone can still opt for the Moto G Power, released in January for $299.99. Unlike the Edge 60 Fusion, it lacks an OLED display and the unique canvas finish but does offer wireless charging.
What’s Next for Motorola?
Motorola is also rumored to be working on its next-generation Razr flip phones. Some leaks suggest that these upcoming devices may feature a wooden finish, a nostalgic throwback to the 2014 Moto X. If true, this could be another bold design move from the company.
