The Dilasaini Rural Municipality in Baitadi has announced a mourning holiday on Sunday after the tragic death of two young men from the same village in a jeep accident.
According to Rural Municipality Chairperson Santosh Prakash Joshi, the entire village is in grief following the untimely death of two youths from Dilasaini-1.
The accident occurred on Saturday, claiming the lives of:
- Kiran Bahadur Bohora (32) – a health worker at Baram Basic Health Center
- Santosh Bahadur Rana (24) – the jeep driver from the same area
Six other people were injured in the accident.
The municipality issued a formal condolence statement and declared that all government offices, ward offices, health centers, and educational institutions under its jurisdiction will remain closed on Sunday (Asar 29) as a mark of respect.
