Muan International Airport in South Korea witnessed a harrowing tragedy when a Jeju Air flight crash-landed, leading to the death of at least 29 individuals. The accident has left the nation in shock as rescue and investigative efforts continue.

The ill-fated flight was carrying 175 passengers and six crew members on its return journey from Thailand. The plane encountered trouble while attempting to land in South Jeolla Province, approximately 288 kilometers south of Seoul. The disaster occurred at 9:07 a.m. local time, as the aircraft skidded off the runway and struck a perimeter fence.

Eyewitness accounts and images broadcast by local media showed the aircraft engulfed in smoke, painting a grim picture of the aftermath.

Rescue teams have successfully pulled two survivors from the wreckage: a flight attendant and a passenger. However, details about the identities of the deceased and the condition of the survivors remain unclear.
