Myanmar Defeats Lebanon 3-1 in Opening Match

Myanmar made a strong start in the International Women’s Championship by defeating Lebanon 3-1 in the opening match. The tournament, organized by the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), began today.

Myanmar took the lead in the 57th minute when captain Win Theingi Tun scored a brilliant goal from the edge of the box. She converted a pass from May Htet Mon Myint to put her team ahead.

However, Lebanon quickly responded in the 60th minute with an equalizer. Layla Iskandar capitalized on a pass from midfield, skillfully beating the goalkeeper in a one-on-one situation to make it 1-1.

In the 72nd minute, Myanmar regained the lead. Substitute Swe Tun Layu Per Khine scored with a header from a cross delivered from the right side. Just three minutes later, in the 75th minute, Myanmar extended their lead to 3-1 when San Thaw Thaw found the back of the net.

Lebanon was unable to score again in the remaining 90 minutes and the additional 5 minutes of injury time, resulting in a loss.

Meanwhile, Nepal will play its first match against Kyrgyzstan at Dasharath Stadium at 6 PM. The championship features four teams: Nepal, Lebanon, Kyrgyzstan, and Myanmar.
