Bollywood powerhouse Nawazuddin Siddiqui is ready to captivate audiences once again with his intense performance in the upcoming ZEE5 film Costao. The freshly released trailer offers a glimpse into a high-stakes drama rooted in the world of gold smuggling, betrayal, and a lone man’s battle against a corrupt system.
In Costao, Nawazuddin portrays the titular character—Costao Fernandes, a bold and principled customs officer based in 1990s Goa. Inspired by real events, the story follows Costao as he sets out to dismantle one of the most influential gold smuggling cartels in the region. However, things take a drastic turn when he’s framed for a crime he didn’t commit. Accused of murder and disowned by the very system he served, Costao is forced to fight not only the underworld but also the corrupt forces within his own department.
The trailer teases a powerful mix of action, suspense, and emotional intensity, as Costao becomes a symbol of resistance—battling criminal empires while trying to protect his family and restore his honor.
ZEE5, while unveiling the trailer, described the film as “the story of a real hero, a Customs Officer who shook an entire crime network. This isn’t just a fight. It’s a legacy carved in sacrifice.”
