The Reason Behind the Invitation
Neeraj said that the invitation to Arshad Nadeem was simply from one athlete to another. The purpose of the Neeraj Chopra Classic is to invite top athletes from around the world and make India a host for high-level sports events.
Invitations Were Sent Before the Attack
Neeraj clarified that all invitations were sent out on a Monday, two days before the attack in Pahalgam happened. He added that once the tragic news came, it was clear that Arshad Nadeem would not be attending the event.
