Nepal Starts Building Its First Third-Party Logistics Warehouse “Upaya”

Nepal is starting the construction of its first third-party logistics warehouse. The announcement was made by Upaya, a growing logistics company, during a program held in Kathmandu.

Where will Logistics Warehouse be built?

The new warehouse will be built near Nepal Police School in Banepa.

How big will Upaya be?

The warehouse will cover about 18 ropani of land, equal to 100,000 square feet. It will have modern facilities to support advanced logistics services.

When will it be ready?

The company has set a goal to complete and fully operate this warehouse by the end of 2026.

How much investment is involved?

The project will have a total investment of NPR 1.20 billion. A consortium loan of NPR 950 million has been arranged with Citizens Bank International as the lead bank, in partnership with Machhapuchchhre Bank.

Ganesh Raj Pokharel, CEO of Citizens Bank International, said that modern warehouse infrastructure is necessary in Nepal. He believes this project will make a significant contribution to Nepal’s logistics sector.
