Nepal Cricket Camp has taken an unexpected turn as star all-rounder Kushal Malla has been dropped from the squad. The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) had initially selected 53 players for the core training camp ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 series in Scotland.
Second Phase of Nepal Cricket Camp Announced
On Saturday, CAN released a list of 25 players who advanced to the second phase of the Nepal Cricket Camp. Surprisingly, Kushal Malla was not among the names. Other notable omissions include Dev Khanal, Ishan Pandey—who scored a century in the core camp—and young batter Arjun Kumal, known for his performances in youth and domestic cricket.
Kamal Singh Airee Also Misses Out
Medium pacer Kamal Singh Airee is another experienced name missing from the 25-man list. In total, 28 players have been dropped as the camp enters its final selection phase.

Promising young spinner Yuvraj Khatri has earned a spot in the 25-player squad. His strong performance during the ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup Qualifier helped him gain a place in the core camp, and now he continues into the next round.
