In the match held on Wednesday at TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Nepal was defeated by the Netherlands by 10 wickets. This was the Netherlands’ third victory in the tournament.

Chasing a target of 146 runs set by Nepal, the Netherlands reached the total in 19.4 overs without losing a wicket. Sterre Kalis missed her century by just two runs, remaining unbeaten on 98, while Babette de Leede stayed not out on 48.

Earlier, Nepal batted their full 20 overs and scored 145 runs for the loss of four wickets.

For Nepal, Pooja Mahato played a half-century innings. She remained unbeaten on 62 runs off 51 balls, hitting five fours.

Nepal’s batting struggled early, losing Samjhana Khadka for 6 runs in the fifth ball and Mamata Chaudhary for just 1 run in the 2.4th over. However, Pooja and captain Indu Barma built a strong partnership, helping Nepal post a respectable total.

Pooja and Indu added 78 runs for the third wicket, with Indu scoring 39 runs. Rubina Chhetry contributed 20 runs, while Kabita Joshi remained unbeaten on 7.

For the Netherlands, Iris Zwilling took two wickets, while Heather Siegers and Caroline de Lange took one wicket each.
