The final match of the ongoing international women’s football tournament in Kathmandu is today. Nepal and Myanmar will compete for the championship title.
The match will begin at 6 PM at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwar. Since it’s a holiday, a large crowd is expected to attend.
Both teams reached the final without losing a match. They both defeated Lebanon and Kyrgyzstan and played a draw against each other.
This is Nepal’s 13th time playing in a tournament final. However, Nepal has never won in its 12 previous final matches.
Because of repeated losses in finals, the Nepali women’s team has gained a reputation for always falling short at the last stage. Today, they have a chance to change that, but they must defeat Myanmar, a team ranked 48 places higher than them.
Nepal has never won against Myanmar in their five previous encounters. Myanmar won three matches, while two ended in a draw.
