Nepal Introduces 18 JUBAO Electric Vans for Public Transport

In a significant step towards sustainable public transportation, JUBAO electric vans have begun operating on the roads of Nepal. Akars Group, the official distributor of JUBAO electric vehicles (EVs), has completed its first delivery, marking the beginning of a greener future for the country’s transport system.

The Akars Group has handed over 18 JUBAO EV vans to Swayambhu Harty Tours and Travels Pvt. Ltd. These vans have a seating capacity of 14 passengers. The company plans to operate these vans on routes between Kathmandu, Chitwan, Hetauda, and Birgunj for public transportation.

Manufactured by China’s FAW Jilin company, the JUBAO EV van is described as a modern electric vehicle designed for group travel, shuttle services, and commercial transport. According to the company, these vans are perfectly suited for Nepal’s roads and the growing demand for eco-friendly transport solutions.

Vans Available in Multiple Sizes for Various Needs

Akars Group President Rajesh Kaji Shrestha shared that the JUBAO EV vans are available in 11-seat and 14-seat configurations. After analyzing Nepal’s road conditions, charging infrastructure, and service requirements, the company has introduced these vans at an affordable price to cater to the local market.

The JUBAO EV vans are now available not only in the Kathmandu Valley but also in Dhangadhi, Nepalganj, Butwal, Surkhet, Pokhara, Chitwan, Itahari, and Birtamod. The company ensures that these regions will have easy access to service and spare parts for maintenance, making it convenient for customers to rely on these eco-friendly vans for daily use.

This new initiative marks a step towards cleaner, more efficient public transportation in Nepal, helping reduce the country’s carbon footprint while providing a modern alternative for travelers.
