A Nepal Police Sub-Inspector (SI) was found dead in Jhapa. The deceased has been identified as 49-year-old SI Dhanraj Khatriwada, originally from Temke maiyung Rural Municipality, Bhojpur, and currently residing in Kanepokhari Rural Municipality-7, Morang.
According to Acting Information Officer Vijay Chauhan, Khatriwada was found dead on the upper floor of the three-story barracks of the District Police Office in Jhapa, located in Bhadrapur Municipality-8. He was discovered hanging from an iron ladder leading to the water tank on the upper floor.
“The body was found this morning. The family has already been informed about the incident,” said Chauhan. “The investigation is ongoing.”
DSP Chand stated that the police have informed the deceased’s family and have initiated the legal procedures. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
