Players Left Out:

  • Samir Tamang โ€“ His exclusion has raised questions as he is considered a rising star in Nepali football. He was recently announced as the marquee player for Pokhara Thunders in the Nepal Super League (NSL) this season.
  • Chhiring Lama โ€“ A consistent part of the national team for the past two years, his omission has surprised many.
  • Aashish Gurung, Ashok Khawas, and Anjan Rai โ€“ These players also missed out on selection.

On the other hand, veteran player Bharat Khawas, who went unsold in this seasonโ€™s NSL, has been included in the final squad.

The team will be aiming for a strong performance in both matches as they prepare for the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers.
