Nepalโs national football team squad has been reduced to 27 players for the upcoming matches against Singapore and Malaysia. Head coach Matt Ross trimmed the initial 30-man squad, leaving out three players.

Players Left Out:
- Samir Tamang โ His exclusion has raised questions as he is considered a rising star in Nepali football. He was recently announced as the marquee player for Pokhara Thunders in the Nepal Super League (NSL) this season.
- Chhiring Lama โ A consistent part of the national team for the past two years, his omission has surprised many.
- Aashish Gurung, Ashok Khawas, and Anjan Rai โ These players also missed out on selection.
On the other hand, veteran player Bharat Khawas, who went unsold in this seasonโs NSL, has been included in the final squad.
The team will be aiming for a strong performance in both matches as they prepare for the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers.
