Nepal to Face Hong Kong in First Match of Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier

Nepal will play its first match against Hong Kong in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier.

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) released Nepal’s match schedule on Monday. According to the schedule, Nepal and Hong Kong and Bahrain are in Group C.

Each team in the group stage will play twice against the other teams (double round-robin format). The team that finishes first in the group will advance to the Super Round.

A total of 9 teams are taking part in the qualifiers, divided into three groups.

The top team from each group will move on to the Super Round League. From there, the top two teams will qualify for the Global Qualifier.

The qualifier tournament will be held in Thailand from May 9 to May 20. Teams participating include Nepal, host nation Thailand, Hong Kong, Bahrain, Bhutan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Qatar, and the UAE.

Currently, the Nepali women’s cricket team is training in India and will travel to Thailand directly from there.
