In an exciting development, the official announcement for the Nepal Youth Games 2082 was made at a special event in Kathmandu on Thursday. The games are set to take place under the leadership of Sarthak Sports World, marking a significant step in the development of youth sports in Nepal.
The Nepal Youth Games 2082 is specifically aimed at U-15 athletes, offering them an opportunity to showcase their talents in various sports. The Youth Games will feature six disciplines: Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Cricket, Athletics, and E-sports, giving young players a chance to compete in multiple areas.
Nepal Youth Games 2082: Talent Search Across All Districts of Nepal
The Nepal Youth Games 2082 will be preceded by a nationwide talent search and selection process across all 77 districts of Nepal. This selection process will take time, as it includes both talent scouting and training for the selected athletes. The organizers have provided advance notice of this to ensure everyone is well-prepared.
The final phase of the games will take place in Kathmandu Valley from Mangsir 13 to 20, where teams from all seven provinces will compete for the title.
A Long-term Vision for Youth Sports Development
This competition is Nepal’s first-ever youth event designed with a long-term perspective. The plan is to host the games annually in different provinces, with the first edition beginning in Gandaki Province. Over the next ten years, the event will expand to all provinces, creating a nationwide impact.
Through the Youth Games, the aim is to encourage secondary school-level youth to pursue professional sports careers. The goal is to nurture national team players in the coming decade, building a strong foundation for Nepal’s sports future.

Sarthak Sports World also plans to build sports academies across all provinces, in collaboration with local schools. This initiative aims to provide continuous support and development for young athletes.
With a total budget of 2 crore Nepali rupees, the competition will begin its selection process in the districts next week, laying the foundation for a bright sporting future in Nepal.
