A 9-member Nepalese team, including 5 players, is set to participate in the Australian Open Karate Championship. The team will depart for Sydney, Australia, on Wednesday at 11:00 PM.
Championship Details and Nepalese Competitors
The tournament will take place from April 4 to April 6. Nepal will be represented by one male and four female players:
- Men’s 67 kg category: Santosh Shrestha
- Women’s 50 kg category: Barsha Budha Magar
- Women’s 55 kg category: Pushpaka Lama
- Women’s 61 kg category: Sabina Shrestha
- Women’s 68 kg and above category: Erika Gurung

Farewell Program and Sponsorship
National Sports Council member-secretary Tanklal Ghising bid farewell to the team in a special program on Wednesday.
