A man named Ansarul Miya Ansari, believed to be a Nepali citizen, has been arrested in Delhi for allegedly spying for Pakistan’s intelligence agency, ISI. Indian media claim he was working on a secret mission to collect India’s sensitive military information and pass it to Pakistan.
Ansari was arrested in central Delhi on February 15. Reports say he was planning to return to Pakistan via Nepal with highly classified military documents, maps, images, and GPS data. Indian police claim he had previously visited Rawalpindi, Pakistan, in June 2024 for training after working in Qatar as a taxi driver since 2008.
During his arrest, officials reportedly found important military-related documents. Indian sources also say this arrest stopped a possible terror attack in Delhi planned by ISI. Ansari was caught after a secret three-month-long operation that started in January, based on tips about ISI’s hidden agenda.
Along with Ansari, another man named Akhlaq Azam from Ranchi was also arrested for assisting him. Indian intelligence agencies claim that this operation successfully exposed and foiled a serious threat.
Although some media claim Ansari is Nepali, no official details have been confirmed yet. This incident has raised serious questions about cross-border security and the use of foreign nationals in spy activities.
