Nepal’s Puja Mahato Tops Wicket-Taking Chart in U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: Puja Mahato, the Nepali U-19 women’s cricket team captain, has emerged as the leading wicket-taker in the ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup.

Mahato claimed four wickets in Friday’s playoff match against Malaysia, propelling her to the top of the wicket-taking chart. In the tournament so far, she has taken a total of nine wickets in four matches.

Sri Lanka’s Chamodi Praboda is in second place with seven wickets, followed by Scotland’s Maisie Maceira in third. India’s Vaishnavi Sharma and Aayushi Shukla are in fourth and fifth positions, respectively.

With the Super Six and semifinal stages yet to be played, the rankings are subject to change. However, Puja Mahato currently holds the top spot.
