After completing their U.S. tour six months ago, Nepal’s popular folk-rock band Nepathya has announced their much-awaited Australia tour. The tour will begin on 19 Falgun in Canberra, the capital of Australia.
Nepathya made the announcement through their official website. Following the Canberra show, the band will perform in Perth on 9 March, Brisbane on 14 March, Hobart on 18 March, Adelaide on 21 March, Melbourne on 24 March, and Sydney on 29 March.
The announcement has excited Nepali music lovers in Australia, where a large Nepali community resides. Previously, in Shrawan , Nepathya kicked off their U.S. tour from Colorado.
Band Lineup and Special Setlist
Nepathya’s lineup for the tour includes Amrit Gurung (lead vocals), Dhruva Lama (drums), Subin Shakya (bass guitar), Niraj Gurung (guitar), Shanti Rayamajhi (madal), and Dinesh raj Regmi (keyboard).
Lead singer and frontman Amrit Gurung shared his excitement, stating, “We have always received immense love from our audience in Australia. This time, we have carefully selected a special setlist to give them a fresh musical experience.”
25 Years of Nepalaya’s Management
Nepathya’s management team, Nepalaya, is celebrating 25 years of working with the band. Over the years, Nepathya has performed 88 times in 46 cities across 17 countries.
Kiran Krishna Shrestha, team leader at Nepalaya, highlighted the growing presence of Nepali art and culture in Australia. “With a significant number of Nepali speakers in Australia, we have been committed to presenting Nepathya responsibly. This year, we continue that tradition,” he said.
