Tip Top New Diamond Sports Club continued their impressive run in the 9th PM National Volleyball League (PM NVL), claiming their third consecutive win in the women’s category. The match took place at the Covered Hall of Pokhara Stadium on the fourth day of the league.

Despite dropping the first set to Tribhuvan Army Club, New Diamond Sports Club Secures Third Consecutive Win bounced back strongly to win the match 3-1. The set scores were 21-25, 25-14, 25-21, and 25-21.

Salina Budhamagar of New Diamond was named Player of the Match for her standout performance.

New Diamond Sports Club Leads the Table, Army in Trouble

With 3 wins and a total of 9 points, New Diamond now sits at the top of the women’s points table. On the other hand, Tribhuvan Army Club has lost all three of their matches, putting their chances of reaching the semifinals in serious doubt.

Police vs APF Match Underway

The day’s second women’s match is currently ongoing between two strong departmental teams—Nepal Police Club and Nepal APF Club. Both teams have also won two matches each and are looking to stay unbeaten.

Four Men’s Matches on Today’s Schedule

In the men’s category, four exciting matchups are scheduled for today:

  • Nepal Police Club vs Sudurpaschim Province
  • Koshi Province vs Tip Top Help Nepal
  • Gandaki Province vs Manimukunda Volleyball Club
  • Nepal APF Club vs Tribhuvan Army Club

Tournament Format and Prize Details

The week-long tournament, organized by the Nepal Volleyball Association, features six women’s teams and eight men’s teams. Every team will play against each other once in the league stage. The top four teams from each category will qualify for the semifinals.

The winners of the PM NVL in both categories will earn the honor of representing Nepal in the upcoming AVC (Asian Volleyball Confederation) Club Championships.
