On the occasion of Guru Purnima, the upcoming Nepali movie ‘Bakash’ was officially announced with the release of its theme poster. Directed by Nabin Panta, the film is set to begin shooting after the Tihar festival, with plans to release it next year.
Poster hints at story of migrant struggle
The poster gives a glimpse into the emotional core of the story. A man is seen gazing at a village from a distance, with a coffin beside him and an airplane flying overhead. This powerful imagery suggests the film will explore the harsh reality faced by many Nepalis who leave for foreign employment but tragically return in a coffin—highlighting the emotional and social impact of labor migration.
Story written by the director himself
The film is being made under the banner of PK Entertainment. Director Nabin Panta has written the story himself. The shooting will take place both in Nepal and abroad. The soundtrack will feature songs by Shankar Adhikari ‘Ghayal’ and Narayan Basnet.
Script is being finalized, casting to begin soon
Currently, the scriptwriting is underway. According to Panta, casting for actors and technicians will begin shortly. With a strong emotional theme and timely message, Bakash promises to be a thought-provoking addition to Nepali cinema.
