A newborn baby’s body was found in the Manahari Rural Municipality, Makwanpur.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shyamu Aryal, the body of a baby girl, with the umbilical cord still attached, was discovered at a dumping site in Manahari Bazaar, Ward 7. The identity of the person who abandoned the baby is still unknown.
Police received information about the incident on Tuesday, Falgun 20, at around 5:30 PM. Following the report, a team led by Inspector Bishal Sapkota reached the scene and started an investigation.
DSP Aryal suspects that the baby was born about two days ago and then abandoned at the site.
