In Dolpa, at Mudkechula Rural Municipality-4, Eel Village, a fire broke out this morning, resulting in one death. According to the ward chairman of Mudkechula-4, Kritibahadur Budha, a 75-year-old woman, Badi Sarki, died while asleep in her home due to the fire.
The fire completely destroyed her two-story mud house. Due to her old age and physical weakness, Sarki was lying near the stove when her blanket caught fire, leading to her death.
At the time of the fire, her son-in-law and daughter were out in the fields. After the fire broke out, security personnel from the Il police station, along with locals and elected representatives, successfully rescued the livestock in the barn.
The ward chairman, Budha, informed that an investigation team from the District Police Office is heading to the site, and the damage details are currently being gathered.
